Tunics and Belts

Warm colors are important to hold onto this time of year.  Soon we'll start to see an abundance of black, brown, and grey on the street everyday.

While everyone knows my favorite color is black and about half of my wardrobe is black, I still have made space for color.  This outfit is a perfect example of how you can wear it and use black as an accent, rather as the main color scheme.

(Only spent $15.00 on this top!)

A Colorful Fall

As we venture into the cooler weather that fall brings, we all start updating our closets and saying good bye to our summer wardrobe.  We bring in the neutrals and darker fall and winter colors and prints.

Well, make sure you don't oust all your color!

Adding a little splash of color can brighten your whole look!

Brighter oranges, reds, and even greens still say fall without being too drab.

Business Savvy

Working in an office can get very boring for your personal style.
So many rules about what you can wear and even how you can wear it.
Here's my take on office fashion, toss the slacks to the side tomorrow and pull out that pencil skirt.
Tuck in the button down and throw on some heels.
Immediately classy and timeless, appropriate for any office!
Perfect "Work Wear"
Black button down - purchased from Express
Tan pencil skirt is XO - purchased from Macy's
Necklace - purchased from Charming Charlie
Earrings - purchased from littlblackbag.com
Glasses are prescription  - Versace - purchased from Lens Crafters
Watch - purchased from shoedazzle.com
Bag - purchased from the Kate Spade Factory Outlet in Tinton Falls, NJ
"the Jersey Shore Premium Outlets"
This bag was originally about $400.00, I got it for $85.00
I definitely recommend going outlet shopping prior to buying high ticket items,
I always find at least one great deal that saves me a small fortune!
Shoes are by Jessica Simpson - purchased from the Nordstrom Rack
This look is completely timeless, just pick out a button down and pencil skirt,
then dress it up, or down, however you feel fit!
Adding stockings and/or boots can even bring this look into the winter!

I hope you have all enjoyed

Neutral Love

I thought it would be fun to blog one of my favorite summer dresses to celebrate the end of the season.  The ruffles  on this dress add a fun and flirtatious vibe, while the weaving colors are almost tribal.

This look is very simple and versatile - it can be dressed up or down with the right shoes and accessories.

I hope you all enjoy this look and please leave your feedback!

The location we shot at had these statues that I thought were adorable,
so of course I had to use them!

The dress is from sugarlipsapparel.com
(I love all of their pieces, they are well-priced and great quality!)

Earrings were actually a great find from a county fair a couple of years ago

As some of you may know I like to pretend I'm a rock star sometimes, clearly I know I'm not but I think it's fun.  I love the style and despite the season black is my go to color.
I hope you all enjoy this post and don't forget to let me know what you think!

I find the trick in keeping your look "fresh" when you wear so much black, is to always find very original pieces or very classic pieces that can be paired with anything.

A Fashionable Night Out

Hello Hello Hello!

This weekend I had the pleasure of attending a hip hop showcase held in the great city of Philadelphia!  I was there to support an up and coming artist who goes by the name of "Frank Mizzy".

He is a very talented young man who has made many huge connections in the industry over the past few years, and I'm so excited to continue following his journey.  At the end of August he released his first solo album titled "PreGame" which is definitely a powerful project!  If you would like any more information about him or his music please feel free to check out his website www.frankmizzy.com
Also, if you have any questions about him or his music, you can leave comments on this blog post and I will make a time for him to look at them and get you guys some answers!

NOW FOR THE GOOD STUFF!

Here is what I wore!

I was feeling a bit eclectic that day, so I came up with I really unique outfit.  While I can't say this is the most appropriate ensemble for a hip hop show, I could not have cared less, I love it!
Please keep in mind the pictures are not from the show, the outfit was shot after the show took place.
